Dodecanese:
Catamaran Sailing · Family Adventure
June 27 – July 4, 2026 · Kos, Greece
Our Idea
The Dodecanese is where Greece stops performing for tourists. Limestone cliffs drop into water so clear it looks fake. Monasteries sit on volcanic ridges. Tiny harbors serve fish that was swimming an hour ago.
We're sailing a loop from Kos through several islands — each one quieter, stranger, and more interesting than the last. Flotilla of catamarans, professional skippers. No sailing experience needed. Just a willingness to haul a line and wake up early when the wind says so :)

In late June, the Aegean is warm and the Meltemi hasn't fully arrived
Six islands in seven days — each one earns its stop
UNESCO monasteries, limestone climbing, turquoise anchorages

Settle into your spacious catamaran, then meet your fellow adventurers and professional skippers. We'll have an initial briefing and safety overview.

First Night Aboard
Enjoy a relaxed welcome dinner and sundowners at the marina. We'll plan our exciting island-hopping route under the starry Aegean sky.
Day 2: Kos → Pserimos
June 28
Our adventure begins with a 9 nautical mile, 2–3 hour sail from Kos to the secluded Vathys Cove on Pserimos. After a comprehensive safety briefing, we'll assign roles and split provisioning duties, then cast off for an easy first sail.
Vathys Cove offers crystal-clear turquoise waters, a truly protected anchorage, and a sense of blissful isolation. Enjoy a refreshing swim, a leisurely walk along the shore, and our first shared dinner on board as the sun sets.

→ Objective: remember what slow feels like.
Day 3: Pserimos → Kalymnos
June 29
Today features a short, scenic 8 nautical mile sail (approx. 2 hours) from Pserimos to the rugged beauty of Kalymnos. Known for its dramatic sheer limestone cliffs, rich sponge-diving heritage, and world-class rock climbing, Kalymnos offers a stark contrast to our peaceful first stop.
Upon arrival, adventurers can opt for an introductory climbing session or explore ancient caves. As evening approaches, we'll enjoy a sunset walk above the charming Pothia harbor, culminating in a festive group tavern dinner, savoring local flavors.

→ Objective: earn the ouzo.
Day 4: Kalymnos → Leros
June 30
Today, we enjoy a sheltered 10 nautical mile (approximately 3-hour) passage into Lakki, one of Greece's finest natural harbors on the island of Leros. This elegant and quiet town is distinctive for its unexpected WWII-era Italian architecture.
Upon arrival, explore the island at your leisure with an optional scooter loop, visit the historic Panaghia Castle for panoramic views, or discover the charm of Agios Isidoros.

→ Objective: balance activity with doing absolutely nothing.
Day 5: Leros → Patmos
July 1
Today is our expedition day. We’ll embark on an early departure for a 23 nautical mile, 4–5 hour journey across open water. This is where you experience real sailing, feeling the power of the Aegean beneath our hulls as we navigate towards our destination.
Upon arrival in Skala, Patmos, we’ll prepare for an unforgettable evening at the historic Monastery of St. John. Perched majestically on a volcanic ridge, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers not just breathtaking architecture but a profound sense of peace, especially as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a glow that is truly spiritual.

→ Objective: move until the sea feels earned.
Day 6: Patmos → Lipsi
July 2
Today offers a gentler pace with a 10 nautical mile, 2–3 hour sail from Patmos to the tranquil island of Lipsi. We'll start with an anchor stop in an exquisite bay where the turquoise waters are so clear, they truly don't need a filter. Enjoy an invigorating swim and soak in the serene surroundings.
Upon reaching Lipsi, you'll discover a tiny, non-touristy gem, perfectly suited for leisurely walks. The evening brings a delightful shared flotilla dinner ashore, where we can enjoy authentic local flavors. Kayaks and paddleboards will be available for those who wish to spend more time exploring the calm coastal waters.

→ Objective: let the group find its rhythm.
Day 7: Lipsi → Kos
July 3
Today marks the grand finale of our sailing adventure, the longest leg at a challenging 32 nautical miles, requiring 5–6 hours of focused sailing. We'll have an early, mandatory departure from Lipsi, preparing for what is likely to be a exhilarating beam reach or a smooth downwind run – the kind of sailing day that will become a cherished memory.
With staggered departures, watch rotations will be in full effect, ensuring everyone gets a chance to helm and enjoy the open water. Our hydration protocol (drink water, then more water!) will be paramount to keep spirits high and energy levels steady as we make our way back to Kos.
Upon arrival in Kos, we'll refuel and dock, marking the successful completion of our journey. The evening culminates in a well-deserved, final celebratory dinner, recounting tales of the sea and toasting to new friendships.

→ Objective: finish strong.
Day 8: Kos
July 3–4
Our final day in Kos is dedicated to a smooth and relaxed departure. This built-in buffer allows for stress-free checkouts and accommodates any potential weather delayss, ensuring you leave feeling refreshed.
Take this time to revisit a favorite cafe, do some last-minute souvenir shopping, or simply soak in the final moments of Greek island life before your journey home.

→ Objective: depart refreshed, with cherished memories.

The final itinerary will be discussed by Charterer and Captain upon embarkation. Every effort will be made to meet Charterer’s preferences, but the actual itinerary is subject to weather conditions and the Captain’s discretion, with passenger safety as the first priority.

Where do we depart from?
We meet in Kos, Greece on June 27th. A provisioning and logistics questionnaire goes out after deposit to sort preferences, dietary needs, and arrival details.
Is there internet access?
We sail with an unlimited Wi-Fi device on board. That said, we choose the sea over the screen. You've been warned.
